Every year on the first Tuesday of August, Lake of the Woods County comes together for one of our favorite community traditions — National Night Out.
National Night Out is a nationwide event designed to strengthen the bond between communities and their local public safety organizations. Here in Lake of the Woods, it has grown into something truly special. What started as a small community gathering has become one of the biggest events of the summer, drawing more than 500 community members and 30 or more organizations each year.
2026 marks our fifth year hosting National Night Out in Lake of the Woods County!
What to Expect National Night Out is a free, family-friendly event featuring local organizations, resources, activities, food, and fun. It’s a chance to meet your neighbors, connect with local services, and celebrate the community we’ve built together.
